Groundwater Resources Association of California Appoints Christy Kennedy to Board of Directors

Published: 2/7/2018

The Groundwater Resources Association of California (GRA), a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting California’s groundwater management through education and technical leadership, welcomed Christy Kennedy as its newest board member in the beginning of 2018. Kennedy, a Business Development Leader at Woodard & Curran, is an experienced professional geologist, hydrogeologist, and professional civil engineer who has built an impressive technical background in multiple facets of groundwater resources throughout her career.

Kennedy is currently leading water supply planning projects throughout California and has developed a focus on recharge and water reuse as the state continues to find ways expand its water supply portfolio. Kennedy has been an active part of planning and executing GRA programs and services for the last two years as part of the events committee and is looking forward to deepening her work with the association as a board member.

“I believe strongly in the work of GRA and am enthusiastic about helping set the direction for the association,” says Kennedy. “GRA’s role in California will continue to evolve under SGMA, as the legislation brings water resource and environmental remediation interests together.”
